Delaney's Bug

I've been trying to email pictures from the hospital, but they keep bouncing back to me. I thought I'd post them here to journal our experience with this lovely respiratory virus. Thanks again for all of the thoughts and prayers - they're working! We left PICU today, and we're now in the children's acute care unit (much less dramatic).

Currently, Delaney's just sleeping this nasty thing off, and Mom's praying we can make it home in time for the Tech game, even if our beloved Mike Leach will be at home, packing up moving boxes.
Day 1 - Admitted into Hillcrest in pretty rough shape. Here's the first round of breathing treatments (and she really is that pale - it's not the lighting):

Day 2 - We were transferred to Temple to the Scott & White PICU. Delaney got an ambulance ride in her carseat strapped to the stretcher. We were welcomed by a very festive room with wonderful doctors and nurses:

Day 3 - Things are looking up! The doctor decreased the amount of oxygen Delaney needs and she's sustaining her levels. She's coughing up some nasty mucus, but that's exactly what we need. (Even if it does make her crazy mad!)

On a final note for today, Marshall is such a sweet big brother. He made a Happy New Year picture for Delaney to look at in her crib. Nana says that he "talks" on her cell phone to Mommy about how Delaney's getting better. We can't wait to return home to Daddy and the big brothers!
